Sailing for All: Mysuru to Host the 2025 Asian Inclusive Sailing Series

The Royal Mysore Sailing Club (RMSC) and the Karnataka State Sailing Association (KSSA), under the aegis of the Yachting Association of India (YAI), are proud to announce the Asian Inclusive Sailing Series (AISS), to be held from October 8 to 14, 2025, at the RMSC facilities on the picturesque KRS backwaters.

A Historic First for India

Endorsed by World Sailing, this landmark event hosted by India for the first time, will see 30 para sailors from 13 Asian nations compete alongside able-bodied sailors, reaffirming the region's commitment to inclusive sports. With participation from emerging and established sailing nations alike, AISS stands as a powerful testament to accessibility, equity, and international camaraderie.

What is Inclusive Sailing?

Inclusive sailing embraces the idea that sailing is a sport for everyone — regardless of physical ability, background, or experience. By creating adaptive formats and accessible equipment, inclusive sailing ensures that all athletes can compete on equal terms, fostering not only participation but dignity, independence, and shared excellence on the water.

Perfect Racing Conditions

The competition will feature Hansa 303 and Hansa 203 class boats, supported by Mysuru's reliable October weather with temperatures ranging from 21–30°C and average wind speeds of 9–14 km/h — ideal for fair and exciting racing.

AISS 2025 is not just a regatta — it is a movement. A step forward for inclusivity in Asian sailing, it aims to inspire new generations of sailors and build a sustainable platform for accessible sailing across the continent.
